Submissions

Memories will look at the thoughts and experiences of individuals who have survived cancer, as well as those of people who have lost loved ones.

There will be ten stories inside, each looking at one person’s recollection of a particular day in the struggle against cancer. For each of these ‘memories’ we invited a dozen leading artists, illustrators and designers to each create their own visual response.

Two further stories were also offered as ‘open brief’ and we invited creatives worldwide to get in touch if they wanted to take part. The idea was to discover new people, and give young artists an opportunity to be in the book. We sent everyone who applied one of the two stories and they have sent in their artwork. Right now we’re busy choosing which images will appear in Memories. We are very grateful to everyone who took part.

Submissions are now closed and we’re working on the book’s final layouts. Here is a taste of some of the work so far.
