The collaborative illustration duo Good Wives and Warriors are the latest ones to join our merry gang. The pair are Becky Bolton and Louise Chappell and they named their studio after the etymology of their first names. Rebecca means ‘good wife’, and Louise drives from Louis, meaning ‘warrior’. Combining line work which is often quite heavy, and judicious use of bright colour, they’ve been developing their own style of illustration together since 2003. They’re as likely to be doing rolling wall murals as advertising illustrations. The image you see above is from a bespoke piece for Adidas for which they decorated a chair. We think their stuff is ace, they think Memories is a worthy cause, and I’m sure nobody can wait to see what they come up with. Please check out Good Wives and Warriors here.
